Just to be clear:

ARMAC isn't and will not be commercially available from the author.

ARMAC isn't a complete recipe for how to protect your house. By all means use some elements of these ideas but you must adapt them to your own requirements, risk appetite and expectations.

None of what is presented here constitutes any sort of guarantee of performance of the system as a whole, or any component, in a fire. You will have to balance your own judgement of risk versus benefit, and cost versus resilience. This is merely provided to share how I have approached some of the issues.

To make this unmistakably clear, in considering the obligations of me as author to you, the answer given to the following short quiz should be taken as your guide.

Suppose you try to follow any or all of the methods described in this document, or any provided software, and your house spontaneously combusts and all that is left is a small patch of yellow ash. Do you get:

1) A heartfelt apology;

2) Squillions of dollars in compensation; or

3) Nothing?

3) is the correct answer.

The content is not offered on a commercial basis, and whilst involving systematic investigation has never been tested in a fire. Hopefully it never will be. Any fire defence system you build should be designed with your particular goals and circumstances, taking full account of the unique characteristics and vulnerabilities of the house to be defended, and site.
